To work in a Yukon school, you must apply through the Yukon Department of Education website.
Yukon Catholic Schools provide public education in a Catholic environment based on Gospel values and the tradition of the Catholic Church. There are three Catholic schools -- two elementary and one secondary.
Note that in order to teach in a Catholic School, there is an additional screening process.
Preference for teaching positions in Catholic schools will be given to practicing Catholics with a commitment to excellence in Catholic education.
The Catholic Diocese of Whitehorse approves this preference based on review of the following documents:

- Teacher Faith letter , completed by the candidate
- Pastoral reference , completed by a Roman Catholic pastor
- Baptismal certificate, provided by the candidate
- All documents must be dated within the past six months and must be submitted to Human Resource Services.
